 About Carrickfergus and Loughside B&B
Carrickfergus is situated approx. 12 miles northbound
from Belfast City on the A2 Coast Road and approx. 9 miles
from the ferry town of Larne. Carrickfergus is an old historic
sea-side town with lots of interesting things to do and see.
We have many tourist attractions, ie Carrickfergus Castle
(12th Century) , Andrew Jackson Cottage, The Gas Works,
(Ireland's oldest preserved gasworks museum), etc and
there are lovely walks along the promenade and marina and also
at nearby Whitehead where you can walk along the
shoreline to the Blackhead Lighthouse.
Loughside Bed and Breakfast, Ireland, is conveniently
positioned at the start of the Causeway Coastal Route and
the Glens of Antrim. We provide double and twin ensuite
rooms, with tea/coffee facilities, satellite TV; alarm
clocks; hairdryer, electric blankets (winter), free Wifi and
off-road private car parking. An iron and ironing board
are available on request. We provide a Guest Lounge where
you can sit and relax after a tiring day. It has a TV,
